Mercedes-Maybach is putting the Haute Voiture concept into production. The production car was unveiled to a select group in Dubai following a curated fashion show put on by Atelier Zuhra. There will only be 150 made.
The Mercedes-Maybach S 680, already an extremely exclusive vehicle, serves as the model for the Haute Voiture. It is one of the few cars still in production with a V12 engine. It has twin turbochargers and generates 621 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque in this instance.
However, that is about all it shares with the standard automobile. In Sindelfingen, Germany, Mercedes' most specialized customization Manufaktur team will construct these one-of-a-kind models. The extravagant exterior that was first shown off on the concept is still present, and each vehicle receives a badge on the center console with a unique number out of 150. It has a finish in two tones: rose gold on top and nautical blue on the bottom. A bunch of nautical blue monoblock composites guarantees that the rose gold component doesn't overwhelm the outside. In addition, Maybach adds animated puddle lamps with Mercedes-Benz or Mercedes-Maybach patterns for surround lighting.
The interior features additional inserts made of crystal and opal white in the same color scheme. Crystal white is used to finish the leather seats, which are also wrapped around the consoles, doors, and scatter cushions. The floor mats are made of linen and mohair, and the champagne flutes are used to apply the rose gold.
The car's haute couture inspiration also shines brightest in the interior. A fashion-inspired boucle fabric in blue, beige, rose gold, and a variety of gold tones is used to cover several interior components.
Even though we are not experts on fashion, this fabric seems ideal for a pair of high-end golf shorts. This kind of luxurious interior has been seen on a few Bentley Mulliner vehicles, but Mercedes-Maybach takes it a step further by updating the software of the MBUX infotainment system. The Haute Voiture's interface background features glitter clouds and a variety of accents in rose gold that shimmer.
The car gets 12 more options because upper-echelon clients can't expect to use the usual avatars for plebs. A dinner jacket, tailcoat, or evening gown, to name just a few, are worn by these more opulent avatars.
A key ring, a scaled-down version of the vehicle, and a handcrafted gift box with the badge number accompany the vehicle upon delivery. A high-end car cover with the Maybach and Haute Voiture logos is another nice standard feature. A collection of bags will also be shipped with each car. Other customers will also be able to purchase a limited number of this collection, which is made of the same materials as the Haute Voiture's interior. Although Mercedes-Maybach did not specify which bags will come standard with the vehicle, the images show a soft fur bag and a small bag finished in the boucle fabric.
According to Mercedes-Maybach CEO Daniel Lescow, "The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Haute Voiture heralds a new chapter of high exclusivity for the brand." With a confined restricted run of 150 units, the exceptional version mirrors our image reasoning to periodically deliver optimistic collectibles. As a result, we facilitate one-of-a-kind luxury experiences that exceed our customers' expectations and further establish Maybach as the ultimate luxury pioneer."
