Ronaldo to Real Madrid? Speculations arise as CR7 trains at club's training ground


Cristiano Ronaldo's FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign with Portugal ended with a 1-0 defeat against Morocco, and the 37-year-old has reportedly begun training at Real Madrid's training ground to maintain his fitness levels while deciding his future. Ronaldo has been a free agent since Manchester United terminated his contract just before the World Cup began.

According to Hugo Cerezo of Relevo, Cristiano Ronaldo trained at Real Madrid's sporting center, Valdebebas, on December 14 to maintain his form as he prepares for his next move.Cerezo goes on to say that the Portuguese international has been allowed to train at Los Blancos' sporting complex because of his excellent relationship with the club, which he spent nine years with from 2009 to 2018.



As Ronaldo maintains a fantastic relationship with the La Liga giants, there is a chance that he will return to the Santiago Bernabeu as he wishes to continue playing at the highest level for as long as he can. During his time at Real Madrid, the 37-year-old scored 450 goals in 438 appearances in all competitions, and he won every competition the club could win at least once.Ronaldo has won two La Liga titles (2011-12 and 2016-17), two Copa del Reys (2010-11 and 2013-14), and four UEFA Champions League trophies (2013-14, 2015-16, 2016-17, and 2017-18), among many other honors. Along with all of the club trophies, he has also won several individual honors during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu, the most notable of which are his four Ballon d'Ors (five in total).
