Pablo Torre does not want to leave Barca on loan in January

Barcelona midfielder Pablo Torre has been linked with a January exit on loan recently, but the teenager reportedly has “no plans” to leave the Camp Nou this winter

Villarreal have been rumored to be interested in the summer signing who has struggled for game time in the first half of the season.

Yet Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Torre is “clear that he wants to continue” and his camp reckon the rumors about his future have not come from the player.

Torre has only made four appearances so far this season and hasn’t featured during the World Cup for Barca Atletic due to an ankle injury.

Liverpool man ‘will know’ his starting time is up as Jurgen Klopp closes in on World Cup replacement

Jordan Henderson ‘will know’ his time as a regular starter at Liverpool is up as the Reds go after another midfielder as his successor, according to one pundit.

Henderson joined Liverpool back in summer 2011, after they agreed to pay Sunderland £20million for him. And the Englishman has gone on to become a supremely loyal servant to the club, making 465 appearances in all competitions and scoring 33 goals in that time.

Henderson was named Liverpool captain in July 2015. Since then, he has lifted illustrious trophies such as the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup for Liverpool.

Henderson starts less for Liverpool now than he did in previous campaigns. Jurgen Klopp tends to bring him off the bench when Liverpool are ahead, with his job being to help the side close the game down.

Soccer-French hearts are broken but future looks bright

DOHA (Reuters) - France will be heartbroken after losing the World Cup final to Argentina in a penalty shootout but the genius of Kylian Mbappe and the depth of talent in the squad bode well for the future.

France began the World Cup without Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema, striker Christopher Nkunku, midfielders Ngolo Kante and Paul Pogba and lost left back Lucas Hernandez in the first game and yet still reached the final, where they lost 4-2 on penalties after a spectacular 3-3 draw.

Mbappe, who turns 24 on Tuesday, netted all three French goals, taking his tally from two World Cups to 12.

All of his goals on Sunday came after coach Didier Deschamps sent on Randal Kolo Muani (24), Marcus Thuram (25), Eduardo Camavinga (20), and Kingsley Coman (26).

"Potentially, this France team has an important reservoir of talents," said Deschamps.

"Before this tournament, we had a lot of players with little experience and they proved that they could play at the highest level. There are also others who were not here but all of them will be able to feature in the next tournaments.

"We'll always need experienced team leaders to groom the young players but the reservoir is big."

Deschamps, however, stressed that the collective mindset - which was beyond reproach in Qatar - would be just as important as talent.
