Rapper Drake from Canada lost $1 million on a World Cup wager.

On his social media channels, he posted about it. Drake would have received 22.7 crores if he had called it correctly.

Drake, a Canadian rapper who had backed Lionel Messi's team to win the World Cup, lost $1 million on a wager he had made on the Argentina vs. France championship match.

It was posted on the 36-year-social old's media platforms. Drake would have earned $2.75 million had he made the accurate prediction. Despite Lionel Messi's assistance, Argentina's triumph over France was only assured with a 4-2 result in the penalty shootout.

Drake, on the other hand, had gambled on the 1/2 market, which does not account for additional time.

The rapper has "cursed" several people with his associations and bets, and he has now set his sights on Argentina. "He'll take France; I'll take Argentina. Before the summit match, he had commented on a TikTok video while sporting a Napoli jersey. Diego Maradona spent his whole career at Napoli, playing there from 1984 until 1991.

Argentina's captain, Lionel Messi, converted a penalty in the 22nd minute of Sunday's tense match to take the lead. Before the break, Angel Di Maria extended the advantage.

The France phenom Kylian Mbappe scored two back-to-back goals in 97 seconds to make it 2-2 despite the defending champions not having a shot on target until the 67th minute.

After a goalless first half, Messi scored again in extra time to give Argentina a lead that lasted for 10 minutes. Mbappe then completed his hat trick from the penalty spot, only the second time in a men's World Cup final since Geoff Hurst in 1966.

La Albiceleste narrowly defeated Les Bleus in the penalty shootout after Kingsley Coman and Aurelien Tchouameni failed to score.
