Man Utd star Alejandro Garnacho 'approached by Chelsea' as Argentine's exit plans emerge
Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly been approached by Chelsea, who are keen to take the teenage sensation to Stamford Bridge. Garnacho made his Red Devils debut last season and scored his first Premier League goal in last month's 2-1 win over Fulham.
Garnacho joined United from Atletico Madrid in October 2020, when he was only 16 years old. And the Argentine winger went on to score 16 goals and provide eight assists in 31 appearances for the Red Devils' under-18s.Last season, the ace scored seven FA Youth Cup goals, including a brace in the final, as United defeated Nottingham Forest to win the trophy. And just days before that showpiece encounter, he came off the bench in United's Premier League draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford for his maiden first-team appearance.
Garnacho has been given more opportunities this season, appearing in eight games. And his rise to prominence has alerted rival clubs to his talents.Garnacho found the back of the net in his team's Europa League victory over Real Sociedad last month as he got on the end of a Cristiano Ronaldo pass to lash home the only goal of the game. And thanks to his recent form, the youngster is now in line to start every match for Erik ten Hag's team.
If Garnacho stays at United, he could have a bright future in the Premier League.
