REPORT: LIVERPOOL SET TO AGREE £85M TRANSFER FOR AWARD-WINNING STAR AFTER LIJNDERS COMMENTS

Liverpool are interested in Enzo Fernandez, and reports in Portugal suggest that a €97 million (£85 million) deal is in the works for the end of the season.

With Jurgen Klopp's engine room in need of an overhaul, the Reds are pushing for major midfield reinforcements in 2023.

Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund appeared to be Liverpool's top target for that position.

However, it appears that Liverpool is now pursuing a deal for Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez.According to Bola Na Rede in Portugal, a deal worth €97 million (£85 million) has been agreed upon between Fernandez's agent and Liverpool for the summer.

Benfica do not appear to want to lose Fernandez in January, so the deal has been pushed back to the summer.

Maybe Liverpool will find a way to sign both Fernandez and Bellingham, but it feels like it's either one or the other right now.
