Argentina’s Central Bank has released a 1000 peso commemorative note featuring Leo Messi’s image with his signature after winning the World Cup.

The Argentine National Team captain led his country to a World Cup victory on Sunday 18th December, 2022 after beating France National Team on penalties and was honored with “Beshth” by Emir of Qatar as a sign of respect. A black cloak that is worn by Arabian warriors and also royal family.

And now the Argentine captain and “GOAT of football” has been honed by his country by printing a 1000 peso commemorative note of his face and signature present on it. 1000 Argentinian pesos are currently worth $5.74

The newspaper El Financiero is reporting that he could be immortalized on 1000 peso note. This is because the number begins with a “10” which references Messi’s iconic shirt number for “La Albiceleste”.

The rest of the World cup winning squad known as “La Scaloni”, named after head coach Lionel Scaloni, would be pictured on the back of the note.

This has raised argument all over social media. Some fans are extremely happy about the initiative and claim he is one of the greatest human to grace the earth whiles others are saying it isn’t a priority of the country as they’re facing inflation problems. They claim that with or without Messi, the Argentine peso will continue to be worthless and that the country is deteriorating to do nothing. Some too believe it will lift humanity standard among fellow men and also in the world of football.

Can the new initiative taken by the Argentina Government and Central Bank help put their country’s economy in a good looking shape?

The bigger question is will you spend it or keep it as a souvenir if you do get access to the note?
