The former Great Olympics' spokesperson reaffirmed his commitment to doing all in his power to advance the Hearts of Oak brand.

"I am overjoyed to have my contract with this lovely family extended. It's incredible because this is the club I played for when I was a kid, and I've always wanted to play for them before I give up football in the future.

"With this chance, I'll keep working hard and advancing the reputation of our illustrious club. Phoooobia! Masters," Gladson Awako stated, according to a quotation from the Hearts of Oak website.


Gladson Awako is now at the Black Galaxies' training camp, as they are getting ready for the CHAN competition in Algeria in 2023.

The attacker has pledged his future to Hearts of Oak for another year and will rejoin the team after the CHAN competition to assist the team contend for the Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup.

Slavko Matic, the head coach of Hearts of Oak, praised his players for their tenacity in defeating Nsoatreman FC on Tuesday in the afternoon.

The Serbian tactician today managed to lead a group of youthful players to a close 1-0 victory against the matchday 9 opponent of the Ghana Premier League despite having some important players abroad with the Black Galaxies.


Slavko Matic, the team's coach, praised his players in a post-game interview, saying they displayed amazing character and an amazing attitude.

The young players deserve congratulations. They exhibit attitude and incredible character. Today, I believe the superior team prevailed. This victory was earned by my players, said coach Slavko Matic.

"We must concentrate on the players that are with us now, then we will see," the Serbian tactician continued. We'll put in a lot of effort and wait to see what transpires in the upcoming game.

After defeating Nsoatreman FC on Tuesday, Hearts of Oak moved up to second place in the Ghana Premier League standings.
