Onana officially retires from international football and leaves the Cameroon national team.

Andre Onana, a goalkeeper for the tenacious Lions of Cameroon, has formally announced his resignation from the national football team in a tweet.

The national coach of Cameroon, Rigobert Song, removed the Cameroonian from the team during the World Cup group stage due to a disagreement.

The goalkeeper has since lost interest in playing for his nation.

Social media was used by Onana to deliver a statement. The former Ajax player thanked everyone for their support during his time wearing the Cameroon jersey while also explaining why he has decided to end this trip. "Every tale has an end, no matter how wonderful the story may be. My time with the national squad of Cameroon has now come to an end.

The Internazionale goalkeeper had a fantastic season at the club level, but his international career should come to an end due to the disaster at the world finals. Onana did say that he is still a supporter of his countrymen. In the end, the goalkeeper played 35 times for Cameroon.

Before the group's interaction with Serbia,

Onana was exiled, according to the official account of the Cameroon federation, because of a dispute with Song. The former Ajax player's "One Man Show" would have worn out the national coach. Immediately after that, Onana offered a puzzling response that indicated the relationship was highly tense. "Telling the truth is revolutionary in a world when lying is commonplace."

Andre Onana, who was cut from Cameroon's World Cup roster last month, has announced his retirement from international football.

After a heated argument with manager Rigobert Song, who reportedly took issue with his goalkeeping style, Onana, 26, was kicked out of the tournament in Qatar.

Marca claims that during practice, Song berated Inter Milan's shot-stopper for taking too many chances with his feet, which led to an argument between the two. Later, footage that had been leaked showed the head coach interpreting what had been stated.

The ex-Liverpool and West Ham player claimed his goalie avoided speaking to him after approaching him to discuss his performances because he grew tearful.
