Match Report: Karela 0-1 King Faisal - Insha Allah Boys pick first away win of the season.
King Faisal Football Club secured their first away win of the BetPawa Premier League News season, beating Karela United 0-1 at Crosby Memorial Park on Wednesday.
A second half free kick from Joseph Adu Dwomoh was enough to record our first ever League win over Karela United.
After securing our first of the season against Kotoku Royals, the lads continued from where they left off with a massive performance on Wednesday.
Coach Jimmy Cobblah made two changes to the team that started against Kotoku last Friday.
Joseph Adu Dwomoh replaced the suspended David Oppong, with John Otu coming in for Benjamin Aloma.
It was the host who dominated the first half but failed to penetrate through our defense.
The second half was different ball all together as we came in strongly looking to draw the first blood.
Our pressure paid off on the 60th minute, after the host goalkeeper failed to grab a free kick from Joseph Adu Dwomoh.
The host reacted very well after going down piling pressure on us.
Goalkeeper Benjamin Asiedu was at usual best denying the host on several occasions.
Despite the incessant pressure from the host, the lads kept their composure till the blast of the final whistle.
The win is our second of the season after the first against Kotoku Royals.
King Faisal will host Accra Lions on Sunday before the break of the League for the FIFA World Cup.
