The latest story coming from Takoradi in the Western Region Ghana reveals that, the town has been hit with another sad story few days to Christmas.
According to reports from the region, a pregnant woman at the age of 38; died after slipping into a well on Tuesday, 20 December 2022; (5 days to the Christmas Celebrations).
The young woman by name Efua Amoaba; who was in her fifth (5th month of pregnancy has died after she slipped into a well at Sekondi in the Western Region.
The report also revealed that, the late Madam Efua Amoaba, is reported to have gone to the well to fetch some water when the unfortunate incident happened.
A report from myjoyonline.com revealed that, "In an interview, the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan NADMO Coordinator, James Obeng Jnr, said although the deceased fell into the well on Tuesday, her body was retrieved on Wednesday".
"He explained that this was because the relatives of Madam Amoaba thought she was missing, until they heard news that someone had fallen into a well. The family then proceeded to the scene to confirm that indeed it was their relative. They subsequently called on the Ghana National Fire Service, who went to the scene to retrieve her body", myjoyonline.com further reported..
The body of the late madam Efua Amoaba has since been deposited at the Effia Nkawnta Regional Hospital Mortuary in Takoradi, also in the Western Region.
Madam Efua Amoaba until her death was a fishmonger and a mother of two children.
Though the year 2022 has not yet ended, the town Takoradi had been one of the towns in Ghana that was hit with many sad stories.
The Region saw sad stories like, terrible Accident in April; on the Takoradi Road, where a vehicle somersaulted three times, leading to many injuries and one death. Takoradi on Tuesday 21st June 2022, again reported the news of a wicked 45 years old father by name Benkamin in Takoradi, who poisoned his two Biological children to death, as a result of some misunderstanding which occurred between him (husband) and the wife.
Still on sad stories from Takoradi in the year 2022, there was another sad news reported in August 2022, where a young man from Apremdo in the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipality of the Western Region (Prince Amoah), was nearly beaten to death after he was mistaken for a thief.
Takoradi again came on the news, with a fake kidnapping and pregnancy case; where a woman who faked her kidnapping, pregnancy, was fined Gh¢7.2k, by a Takoradi Circuit Court presided over His Worship Michael Kwadwo.
Prior to the year 2022, Takoradi was noted for sad stories like the kidnapping case; where three missing girls from Takoradi were suspected to be kidnapped by some unknown people.
