Moses Simon's outstanding season for Nantes has not gone unnoticed, and he has been compared to the GOAT.

The analyst, @Odriozolite, uses the metric "Expected Threat (xT)" to determine which players in France's top division have played the most threatening passes that eventually lead to a shot on goal, and discovered that Moses Simon had the highest xT from the furthest and widest left wing position, also known as Zone 16.For those who are unfamiliar with the term, xT is a measure of the difference between the likelihood of a goal occurring before and after a player's action.

This means that players with high xT are more likely to create dangerous situations for their teams out of less dangerous situations, and they are frequently crucial to how their teams attack.Messi, as expected, has amassed the most xT of any Ligue 1 player from the zone 14 area just outside the D of the 18-yard box.

Messi has also registered the highest xT from the area around the attacking side of the center circle, demonstrating how far he has to go to create chances for his teammates.

Cameroonian right-sided defender Jean-Charles Castelletto has also topped the charts in his position, and Guinean left-back Issiaga Sylla has the most xT in his position.

Interestingly, Simon topped the xT chart for the left wing position in another study by the same analyst at the midway point of the 2021/22 season.Other advanced metrics show that the 27-year-old Jos-born forward has been a standout for Nantes in Ligue 1 this season.

With 4.19 expected goals (xG) and 3.05 expected assists (xA), he leads Nantes. He is also Nantes' Ligue 1 top scorer with five goals and their joint-top provider with two assists.

The former Vitoria Guimaraes star is expected to play a larger role in the Spanish La Liga's second half. The 24-year-old is the club's third-choice center-back, but he is expected to replace Catena when the league resumes due to Catena's suspension.

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old has appeared in all four games for the club in the Europa Conference League group stage.

Mumin has appeared seven times in all competitions since joining the club and will hope to add to his tally in the future.
