Many players who played in their last world cup or international game for their country are still playing for their club. On the other hand, many players have ended their careers this year. Some could have played for many more years, but due to injuries and health issues, they are forced to retire. Chelsea has expressed interest in Kylian Mbappe. The London giants have joined Real Madrid and Manchester United in signing PSG's 2022 FIFA World Cup finalist for next year. France international is arguably the best footballer in the world, having risen to superstardom in the last half-decade.

Real Madrid came close to signing Kylian during the summer transfer window before he famously snubbed them in order to sign a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain. According to recent reports, Los Blancos are no longer interested in signing Mbappe. Florentino Perez, however, is keeping an eye on the forward's situation at PSG.Meanwhile, the Blues will look to bolster their offensive line next season, with Nkunku being the first to sign. However, with several attackers underperforming, Graham Potter requires more resources. And the 2022 World Cup finalist is the ideal candidate to bolster Chelsea's attack.
