This world is a strange and mysterious place that offers only two ways to live; you either choose to live as if nothing is a miracle, or live as if everything is a miracle. Whiles some people 'eat money' (invest money), and get more money, the majority eat 'sh*t' and die poor.
Again; the most beautiful experiences this world can offer us, are mysteries; because mysterious things are not just mind blowing... they are the source of all true art and all science. No purpose or science can justify and explain the mysteries of creation... only love alone can.
Whereas in this world, there are things in-and-around our us that are appear normal, there are many more that appears very Strange. Besides these strange occurring, there are still some few ones that appear super-strange and mind-blowing.
We have learnt and know; that living things have a variety of characteristics that are displayed to different degrees. For example, we know living things respire, they move; they respond to stimuli, reproduce and grow, and are dependent on their environment. The most important one that keep us living and going; is feeding. As the popular saying goes; 'we eat to live'.
We have also learnt, that; whereas some living things feed on plants (herbivorous), some also feed on flesh (carnivorous). Nature have have also presented another group of living things who do feed on both plants and flesh. (Omnivorous).
By presenting these feeding styles of living things, it is very usual and normal to see some animals feeding on plants and others feeding on flesh. Again as we know; we humans in general also enjoys our greens, fishes and meats. Science have taught us; that plants on the other hands relies on the sun, water and some rich nutrients in the soil for survival.
Throughout our journeys in live, it is super strange and mysterious; to ear or see; a plant; having no mouth yet feeding on an animal. Though this is very strange and unbelievable, scientists have proven, that some plant indeed do feed on animal (carnivorous).
Though there is a vast collection of carnivorous plants from across our world, the Venus Flytrap, is the most famous flesh eating (carnivorous) plant of them all .
The Venus Flytrap plants; scientifically known as Dionaea muscipula, are known for their weird and wonderful ways of trapping and eating other living things, especially insects.
Though the Venus Flytrap do not have complex muscles and tendons to grab food, chew and swallow it, according to research, once the trap closes on the prey, the digestive glands that line the interior edge of the leaf secrete fluids that dissolve the soft parts of the prey, kill bacteria and fungi, and then break down the insect with enzymes to extract the essential nutrients intro the plant.
Many people do ask: Can a Venus flytrap bite the human's finger? the answer is no. Scientists have explained that, the Venus flytrap plants can't eat anything much bigger than a housefly; and mostly they eat mosquitoes and gnats. If you put the tip of your finger in the flytrap's bug eating mouth, it will quickly snap shut, but hei...it won't do any harm to your finger.
Though these carnivorous plant gives humans no harm, as the African's warning goes; you must remember the kind of home or family you come from before taking any risk.
