FIFA REACTS AFTER MOROCCO BECOMES BIGGEST CLIMBERS IN WORLD RANKINGS AFTER BRILLIANT DISPLAY IN WC

FIFA, the world football governing body, has reacted after Morocco's national team became the biggest climbers in World rankings following their outstanding performance in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.




Morocco's national team had a successful run in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, appearing in seven games.

Morocco national team won two games and drew one to top their group table with 7 points from three matches played, defeating Spain and Portugal national teams in the round of 16 and quarter finals before losing to France in the semi finals, and they also lost to Croatia national team in third place.


Morocco's brilliant performance helped them become the first African country to reach the FIFA World Cup semi-finals.


The team's outstanding performance in the 2022 FIFA World Cup has propelled them to the top of the world rankings following the World Cup.

In response to Morocco's national team becoming the biggest climbers in World rankings following their brilliant performance in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, FIFA announced on Saturday via their verified Twitter handle that;


"The Moroccan national team has risen from 28th to 11th in the FIFA World Rankings for 2022."

PSG enters race for Osimhen

Paris Saint-Germain, the richest club in French Ligue 1, has been linked with a move for Victor Osimhen next summer.



According to the French sports newspaper Le 10 Sport, Osimhen has a good chance of returning to Ligue 1 in the offseason, with the striker on PSG's radar.


The Parisians have a strong attack with 2022 World Cup winner Lionel Messi, Brazil superstar Neymar, and France sensation Kylian Mbappe, but they intend to sign Osimhen for next season.


The news has been confirmed by Italian journalists Paolo Bargiggia and Luca Cerchione, who claim that a deal is in the works.Cristiano Giuntoli, Napoli's sporting director, was recently in France and spoke with PSG Football Advisor Luis Campos about Osimhen, Fabian Ruiz, and Navas.


Campos and PSG manager Christophe Galtier may be looking to reunite with Osimhen, with whom they previously worked at Lille.


Campos spent four years scouting the 2015 U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner before signing him to Lille in the summer of 2019.


Osimhen made 38 appearances in the Lille dugout with Galtier, scoring eighteen goals and registering seven assists.Napoli have set a price for the 24-year-old, who is under contract until June 30, 2025, in the region of 100 million euros.
