However, in an explanation on Monday, January 2, the executives put any misinformation to rest "to address misleading data being circled about changes of Scholarly Office Client Expenses by the College for the 2022/2023 scholastic year".

"The changes of charges by the College depends on rates endorsed by Parliament and imparted through the Ghana Tertiary Instruction Commission (GTEC)," the assertion endorsed by Recorder Emelia Agyei-Mensah said.

Mrs Agyei-Mensah made sense of that the College had staggered a 5 percent increase endorsed by Parliament for the 2019/2020 scholarly year in light of the fact that the authorisation came mid-semester.

The accompanying scholarly year when the level of addition ought to have been executed saw understudy pioneers arguing for a suspension because of the Coronavirus episode and its financial cost for guardians and watchmen.

"As a result, in this way, the College of Ghana charged understudies sponsored expenses for the 2019/2020, 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 scholastic years, as opposed to the endorsed expenses."

However, after a gathering on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 and inside meetings, the College Committee supported the execution of augmentation, particularly as cost of tasks was going high.

The addition was finished with the new 15% from Parliament on the first 5% for the 2019/2020 scholarly year.

"The board thusly guarantees understudies, guardians and all partners that expenses charged for the 2022/2023 scholarly year are legitimate and appropriately founded on supported expense levels as approved by Parliament.

"The College perceives what is happening in the nation, and as such has accommodated adaptable charge installment terms for understudies."
