Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has named Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the best players in the club's history.
Modric stated that what Ronaldo accomplished at Real Madrid during his nine-season stay at the Santiago Bernabeu was out of this world.
"I think everyone will agree that Cristiano was one of the best, if not the best, player for Real Madrid," the Croatian star said of Ronaldo, who recently signed for Al-Nassr, in a special La Liga Golazos edition.
"Everything he did and achieved in Real Madrid in the eight or nine years he was here was extraordinary."
"In terms of scoring goals, titles, individual records, team trophies, he was so influential," the former Ballon d'Or winner added. He was a leader on and off the field."

‘I am told’: £70m star will still join Chelsea if they miss out on Champions League football – journalist
Journalist Ben Jacobs claimed on Simon Phillips' Substack that Declan Rice would still be interested in a move to Chelsea if they failed to qualify for the Champions League next season.
The midfielder has been a long-term target for the Blues after being released as a youth product.
The Englishman, along with fellow reported target Jude Bellingham, was a vital cog in Gareth Southgate's World Cup squad.
However, he is clearly in need of a significant change to help him advance in his career.

It was previously stated that the Blues would need to make a club-record bid to sign Rice.
However, Jacobs claims the club will only pay around £70 million for the deal.
Rice is open to a Chelsea move.
He also claimed that the midfielder is buying into the bigger picture at Stamford Bridge, implying that he would still be open to a move if they failed to qualify for Champions League football next season.
"Declan Rice is still a priority for Chelsea," he said. Rice, as he stated at the World Cup, is eager to join a Champions League club.
"I am told Rice would ideally prefer a London move, but it won't be a dealbreaker-factor in his final decision. West Ham are resigned to losing Rice in the summer, and for a price closer to £70 million than the £100 million+ quoted previously."
The team's current standing means they are unlikely to finish in the top four at the end of the season.
They are, however, said to be very close to signing Benfica's Enzo Fernandez this month.
