Eden Hazard's Real Madrid career is likely to end this or next season.

Let's see who can dethrone the legendary number 7 from the Belgian.

Vinicius Junior

The superstar forward wore the number 7 for Brazil in 2020/21.

Although his current no. 20 'brings him luck,' as Vini himself says, switching to the iconic no. 7 is what he deserves.

Rodrygo

Rodrygo has only worn the number 7 once in his career, during the 2020/21 season for Brazil's U23 team.

We can easily imagine the talented Brazilian wearing one at Real Madrid, right?

Kylian Mbappe

The current holder of the no. 7 jersey at Paris Saint-Germain would almost certainly request the same jersey if he joined Real Madrid.

Federico Valverde

The Uruguayan has played in the UEFA Youth League for Real Madrid before, in the 2016/17 season.

Given Fede's current offensive role, this shirt would be ideal for him.

Jude Bellingham

What about the number 7 for a world-class midfielder?

Jude was wearing it in the England squad, so why not try it at his (likely) future club as well?

Endrick

If Hazard leaves the club in 2024, the Brazilian wonderkid could be the one to take over the number 7 spot from the Belgian.

Endrick has frequently stated that Cristiano Ronaldo is his idol, so why not follow in his footsteps?

Kylian Mbappe missing from Lionel Messi's guard of honour at PSG

Lionel Messi of Paris Saint-Germain was greeted as a hero upon his return to the French capital after Argentina won the World Cup, defeating Kylian Mbappe's France in the final.

Lionel Messi was greeted with a guard of honour upon his return to Paris Saint-Germain, but teammate Kylian Mbappe was unable to attend after losing to the Argentine in the World Cup final.

Messi scored twice in the World Cup final, eventually leading his country to victory on penalties after a 3-3 tie. Despite missing out on the tournament Golden Boot, Mbappe's hat-trick at Lusail Stadium saw him finish the competition with eight goals.PSG manager Christophe Galtier granted Mbappe and club colleague Achraf Hakimi leave after the Ligue 1 leaders lost their unbeaten record against Lens. The 2018 World Cup winner was not present for Messi's hero's reception, but his younger brother Ethan was, having recently joined PSG's first-team squad.

"Hakimi and Mbappe will have a few days off," Galtier said after Lens' 3-1 win over the team currently second in the table. "The plan was for them to be able to play these two games. They will now be able to recover."PSG will return to league action on January 11 against Angers before facing Rennes four days later. They are still four points ahead, but Lens closed the gap with a win at Stade Bollaert-Delelis.

The two teams exchanged goals early on, with Przemyslaw Frankowski scoring for Lens and Hugo Ekitike scoring within the first 10 minutes. However, the home team eventually pulled away, with Lois Openda putting them back in front and Alexis Claude-Maurice sealing victory in the second half.

When Messi returned to Paris, he was greeted by a number of his teammates, including Neymar. After a fortnight off, the 35-year-old will return to domestic action with the Champions League.Mbappe, PSG's lone representative in the French World Cup squad, was mocked by Argentina goalkeeper Emi Martinez during the victors' celebrations. However, Galtier insisted that any bad blood would not affect the forward's relationship with Messi.

"I'd concentrate on their relationship," the manager said. "It wasn't Leo Messi making people laugh.

"What I saw after the final, what I have experienced, is there is no reason to mix these things up because the goalkeeper's behaviour is down to him.

"What matters to me is the relationship between the players. Despite the loss, Kylian Mbappe maintained a positive attitude. Of course, he was disappointed, but he handled it with grace. He congratulated Leo Messi, which is a very good thing.
