Cristiano Ronaldo and Jorge Mendes are divorcing following a highly charged transfer disagreement.
According to reports, Cristiano Ronaldo is ending his working arrangement with Jorge Mendes, the agent who has served as his representative throughout his career.
On Friday, Ronaldo finalized a surprising transfer to Saudi Arabian club Al-Nasr, where he would make an estimated £173 million annually. The agreement was reached when Ronaldo broke his association with United amicably in November as a result of a shocking interview with Piers Morgan.
Ronaldo chose to join the Middle Eastern club because he had no other offers, and he will now meet up with his new teammates following the club's presentation on Tuesday. The athlete acknowledged that his career in European club football was now ended at his unveiling press conference.
The relationship between Ronaldo and Mendes, whose Gestifute agency had represented the superstar for just under two decades, is thought to have broken down as a result of the superstar's transfer to Al-Nassr and the circumstances that led to the transfer.
Ronaldo's interview with Morgan, which resulted in the 37-year-old amicably terminating his employment with United and forsaking the final £16 million of his salary due in June, is thought to have gone unapproved.
According to reports, the two have gotten farther apart.
The transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo to Al-Nassr is finalized.

Sport Italia claims that there has been "great tension" between the two Portuguese and that it has intensified recently because Mendes is allegedly playing a smaller and smaller role in Ronaldo's affairs and decision-making. The two are currently planning to end their relationship, the article continues.
Ronaldo's record-breaking £173 million contract with Al-Nassr was officially announced last week.
After the move, he said, "I am lucky that I have won all I set out to win in European football. "I believe that now is the appropriate time to talk about my experiences in Asia."
Added him: "The vision of Al-Nassr is incredibly stunning and motivating. I'm eager to explore a different league in a different nation. I can't wait to get started with my teammates."
In particular, Ronaldo and Regufe spent time celebrating Portugal's Euro 2016 victory in Paris.
