Amazing sources claim that the negotiations between Chelsea and Benfica regarding Enzo Fernandez have failed.

Due to Fernandez's heroics for Argentina at the 2022 World Cup, there have been a lot of transfer rumors.

The World Cup champion shone in Qatar and won Young Player of the Competition.

Liverpool and Manchester United are rumored to be keeping an eye on the 21-year-old, who has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League.

Not to mention Chelsea, who seemed to have the upper hand in acquiring the brilliant midfielder.

The failure of negotiations between Chelsea and Benfica, however, was reported by South American journalist CLMerlo.

He tweeted that after several days of negotiations, Benfica decided not to sell Enzo Fernández to Chelsea.

The English powerhouses' $106 million release clause for the player must be paid in full, according to the Portuguese club.

For the purpose of avoiding financial fair play limitations, the Blues had offered an arrangement in which they would pay the price in three payments.
Some admirers and detractors have expressed concern over Fernandez's exorbitant price tag, with Gary Neville raising the issue.

"Is Chelsea spending €127 million on Enzo Fernandez?" "That is a rather steep price," he tweeted. Bloody hell, he's a pretty good gamer.

A supporter commented on his post. I didn't notice you expressing any worry about the price Antony chose.
such as Pogba When you guys do it, it's fine, but nobody else can spend.

With a tweet that read, "Agree with Anthony (he's a lot to do to reach to 95m price tag)," Neville fired back. Pogba had experience before joining United, so it's not comparable.

In response to rumors that Chelsea will spend €127 million [£112 million] on Enzo Fernandez of Benfica and Argentina in the January transfer window, Gary Neville has expressed his opinion.

Chelsea will acquire one of football's top players if they are successful in securing a British record deal. During this year's World Cup, Fernandez's international teammate Lionel Messi even referred to him as "amazing."

Gary Neville, a Sky Sports analyst and former Manchester United defender, has expressed doubts about his huge €127 million price tag.

Neville tweeted on Tuesday morning in response to the reports:"Is Enzo Fernandez costing Chelsea €127 million? That is a really steep price. a fantastic player, but holy hell!"

Soon after he posted, a fan responded. "I didn't notice that you were bothered by the price Antony chose. such as Pogba "When you all do it, that's OK, but nobody else can spend."

Neville retaliated: "I concur with Anthony (he has a lot to do to justify his $95 million price tag). "Pogba had experience before joining United, so it's not comparable." Fernandez, who won the Best Young Player award at the World Cup this past winter, has already accepted a contract with Chelsea after deciding to leave the Portuguese team.

According to recent sources, Chelsea will pay the full transfer cost in three installments totaling about €40 million (£35 million).
