After an exciting Tuesday night of football, the English Premier League midweek games resumed on Wednesday night. On Tuesday night, we witnessed a lot of drama as Arsenal lost to Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium.
Manchester United, on the other hand, moved five points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur after a 3-0 victory over Bournemouth at Old Trafford. Brighton and Hove Albion humiliated Frank Lampard's Everton side 4-1 at Goodison Park, while Fulham defeated Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
Tottenham Hotspur defeated Crystal Palace's Patrick Viera 4-0 on Wednesday to close the gap on Manchester United, who holds the final champions league qualification spot. West Ham United and Leeds United played to a 2-2 draw at Elland Road, while Nottingham Forest won three points at Saint Mary's Stadium.
The Premier League table after today's games is shown below. Chelsea will host Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night.

Toni Kroos raging at reporter after 2022 Champions League final remembered
Following the Champions League final, Toni Kroos delivered one of the most scathing interviews of 2022.
Kroos was named to Real Madrid's starting lineup for their match against Liverpool in Paris.
He played the entire game, which Real won 1-0.

"It's really bad," Kroos continued. Really, really bad. You begin by asking three negative questions. You are well aware that you are German."
Toni Kroos explained his stormy exit from the interview.
Kroos elaborated on why he stormed out of the post-match interview.
"You may inquire, 'How did you watch the game?'"
