For 2022, Manchester United has the greatest average attendance in all of football.

It goes without saying that Old Trafford needs some work after being neglected for the past 17 years, but it doesn't stop Manchester United from filling the stadium with fervent supporters for each home game.
According to The Sun, an average of 73,690 of Old Trafford's 74,310 seats were full last year.

That doesn't change the fact that it requires much more than a fresh coat of paint to be on par with some of the more contemporary stadiums in the UK.

The top 10 for average attendances is as follows – starting with 10th:

  • AC Milan: 57,748
  • Inter Milan: 58,464
  • Celtic: 58,480
  • Arsenal: 60,028
  • Tottenham: 60,094
  • Bayern Munich: 60,362
  • West Ham: 61,118
  • Borussia Dortmund: 62,894
  • Barcelona: 71,564
  • Manchester United: 73,690

Liverpool must seal £200m midfielder now - 'Thiago belongs in Masters Football'

Jamie Carragher is "right on," according to Gabby Agbonlahor, who also pushed Liverpool to invest "£200 million" on new midfielders during this transfer window.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Aston Villa striker ripped on Thiago Alcantara, 31, saying that after his recent performances "he looks like he belongs in Masters Football."

Brentford defeated Liverpool 3-1 on Monday, January 2, handing Jurgen Klopp's team their fifth Premier League defeat of the year.

Former Reds defender Carragher suggested on Sky Sports after the loss that his former team needed to spend "£200 million" on three midfielders in order to re-enter the top four battle.

After their contracts expire at the end of the current campaign, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are free to speak with international teams about pre-contract arrangements.

Ewan Kingsbury of Football Insider questioned Agbonlahor if the midfield needed to be the focus of Liverpool's transfer budget, and Agbonlahor responded, "100%.

"Thiago is playing against Brentford, and he looks like he belongs in Masters Football," the viewer said.

He was moving about on foot.
Being adept with the ball is insufficient in this competition; you will be run over.

"Henderson can still pull it off on occasion, but he hasn't played well lately.

"Fabinho is not a good runner.
Keita, Chamberlain, and Elliott are all excellent athletes, but consider some of the other teams.

Bellingham is required.
They require two elite midfielders who can play wide and extend the pitch.

"Carragher is spot on; they must invest £200 million in the midfield right away."

In other news, Virgil van Dijk might be sidelined until March as a result of what the experts saw at Liverpool.
