Lionel Messi has won a prestigious award for the first time in his legendary career, following Argentina's World Cup victory.
Messi led his country to World Cup victory in Qatar, where he was named the tournament's best player.
And he's won ANOTHER award for his World Cup heroics, this time from French publication L'Equipe.
The 35-year-old won the Champions of Champions award, beating out Kylian Mbappe, Max Verstappen, and Stephen Curry.
With an incredible 808 points, the Paris Saint-Germain superstar topped the list ahead of his club colleague Mbappe. Mbappe, who scored a hat-trick in the World Cup final and won the Golden Boot, finished second with 381 points, ahead of Rafael Nadal, who had 285 points.
Cyclist Remco Evenepoel is fourth, F1 champion Verstappen is fifth, and Karim Benzema is sixth.
The top ten include pole vaulter Armand Duplantis, basketball player Curry, rugby union player Antoine Dupont, and swimmer David Popovici.

Meanwhile, Messi has returned to PSG and is set to make his first club appearance since the World Cup on January 11 against Angers.
"He will not play tomorrow," Christophe Galtier said ahead of PSG's cup match against Chateauroux on Friday. We want him to be ready for the next game after talking with him (against Angers in Ligue 1).
"We anticipated absences following the World Cup. Neymar's absence from training was planned after all players were evaluated upon their return from the World Cup."
