IMMIGRATION OFFICIALS ARRESTED A NIGERIAN TRADER OVER TRAFFICKING

Joyce Samuel Chidema, otherwise known as "Decision," a Nigerian broker, has shown up under the watchful eye of an Accra Circuit Court for dealing three people to Ghana to take part in prostitution.

Chidema is being hung on the charges of two counts of illegal exploitation, two counts of procuration, exchanging prostitution, an inability to show up before a Movement Official, and passage into Ghana through an unlawful spot of section and guest.

The blamed individual is said to have requested that her casualties pay GHC 700,000 and GHC 1 million cedis before they could get their opportunity.

She has denied the charges under the steady gaze of the court, directed by Mr. Samuel Brilliant Acquah, an easing judge.
The court conceded bail to Joyce in the amount of GHC 100,000 with three guarantees, one of which was legitimate.

The indictment, driven by Mr. Abu Issah, said that on October 17, 2022, the Illegal Exploitation Unit of the Monetary and Coordinated Wrongdoing Office got insight that three Nigerian ladies had been dealt to Ghana by another Nigerian lady.

The arraignment said examinations laid out that the blamed individual was a Nigerian who had dwelled in Ghana since January 2021 and had supposedly been filling in as a whore and a merchant in material.

It said Chidema had held onto three people named Keep and had drawn them into prostitution.
The indictment said further examinations laid out that Chidema had purportedly kept the casualties in a house in Ghana and that she had been taking advantage of their weakness of being jobless.

It said Chidema had likewise taken the three casualties to a place of worship, where they were made to "swear reliability to the blamed individual and constrain them to participate in prostitution."

As per the arraignment, the casualties were likewise made to make deals somewhere in the range of GHC80 and GHC100 with Chidema subsequent to participating in the prostitution business.

The arraignment said further examinations uncovered that Chidema had let her casualties know that they could get their independence from her "assuming they work to pay her somewhere in the range of GHC 700,000 and GHC 1 million."
