Chelsea have confirmed that David Datro Fofana will wear the number 27 shirt starting this season. The Ivorian will not be able to wear Didier Drogba's iconic number 11 and carry on the legacy.

Benoit Badiashille has taken over the No. 4 shirt previously held by Andreas Christensen. Cesc Fabregas liked it.

Finally, new goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina will wear the number 36.

All three signings have been registered in the Premier League for the remainder of the season.

Arsenal told to sign their own Richarlison this month to help Saka

Arsenal have been told to back manager Mikel Arteta and sign their own Richarlison this month, which would help Bukayo Saka. Antonio Conte paid £60 million to bring the Brazilian forward to north London, but his best performances may have come with his national team at the World Cup, where Tite used him as a central striker.

Despite failing to score a Premier League goal this season in 10 appearances, the Brazilian made an impact on both flanks at Spurs, recording two assists and scoring twice in the Champions League. Conte's team has been missing Richarlison since he returned from the World Cup with an injury, and ex-Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes Arsenal could benefit from a similar signing."I'm sorry to say it, but how good have they been? "The only concern I have for Arsenal in the future is their squad depth," Robinson told Betfred. "Martin Odegaard has been fantastic for them, as has Gabriel Martinelli. Gabriel Jesus' goals may have dropped before the World Cup, but he brings a lot to the team.

"Is Eddie Nketiah good enough to take the place of Jesus? I believe he is more of an impact sub. The manager pushed for Nketiah to get a long-term contract, and now that he has two goals in two games, he has a chance to take over."I personally believe Arsenal need to go into the market in January and get somebody who can play Jesus' role, or a winger who can play as a false nine, similar to Richarlison at Tottenham. I believe they must address this. They'd be concerned about Bukayo Saka suffering from burnout in the open areas.

"The Arsenal side pretty much picks itself at the moment and I think if Mikel Arteta can keep all of his players fit and free from suspension, then they have a real chance of holding on to this top spot. I'm very impressed with what they've accomplished. The club has backed Arteta and given him the authority to make big decisions, and it has paid off."Saka has started every league game this season for Arsenal, who currently lead the table by five points over Manchester City.

Several pundits have emphasized Arsenal's depth, and Arteta did not look to his substitutes bench for attackers to change the game during their 0-0 draw with Newcastle on Tuesday, as his only options in forward areas were Fabio Vieira and Marquinhos.
