Chelsea may continue the January trend of signing younger players Potter looks forward to working with Joan Felix after joining Chelsea

Chelsea are reportedly weighing whether they can get Real Madrid youngster Rafa Marin at a bargain price.Co-owner Todd Boehly has already signed four new deals this month. and other clubs are said to be interested, but Marin will be another player for the future.

Along with Benoît Badiacil, David Datro Fofana and Andrei Santos, Chelsea already signed three players under the age of 21 in January The loan move of 23-year-old Joan Felix also adds to the youthfulness of Graham's Potter's squad, with plenty of time to push for further additions this month. Boley seems to be doing just that, and the 20-year-old Marin could be the fifth signing in two consecutive successful transfer windows. Bruce set a record for most money spent by a club in a single window in the summer, as new owners licensed him £273m.

According to The Telegraph, Marin has been widely scouted by Chelsea and has been touted as a possible January move, although a deal is likely to be finalized in the summer

At this point, the Real Madrid centre-back has only 12 months left on his contract and the Whites have so far failed to convince him to sign an extension. Juventus and Red Bull Leipzig are also said to be interested in Marine, which could cost up to £10m

The 6-foot-3 star has yet to play for Madrid's first team, but he's a regular at Castile's B-side Real Madrid, who plays in Spain's third division Marin could be the latest in a long line of promising young people to travel to Stamford Bridge in recent months

Boehly and his company have been busy over the summer with the likes of Carney Chukwumeka, Gabriel Slonina and Cesare Casadei, but most recently Academy stars Omari Hutchinson and Lewis Hall's first I had a team opportunity. Chelsea already have plenty of centre-backs, with Thiago Silva, Kalidou Koulibaly, Badiasil, Trevo Chalobah and Wesley Fofana among Potter's viable options

But that's unlikely to stop the Blues from pursuing future plans. Especially considering Fofana's injury-hit start to life at Stamford Bridge and Silva, 38, creeping towards retirement So far, the Blues have earned a reputation for loaning large numbers of young players, but few have made it to the first team, but Boehly says he will revitalize the system by pursuing a multi-ownership model spoke candidly about his goals.

'Chelsea have a challenge. You can loan out stars who are 18, 19 and 20 years old to clubs, but leave their development to someone else,' he said last year “Our aim is to make sure that young stars are shown how to get onto the Chelsea pitch and at the same time give them real playing time The way to get there is through another club in a very competitive European league."
