When Asante Kotoko and Bibiani GoldStars square off in week 13 of the 2022–23 Ghana Premier League, Bibiani GoldStars' chief executive officer, Kwesi Adu, predicts fierce combat.
On the strength of an eight-game league undefeated streak, GoldStars will face the Porcupine Warriors on Monday at Dun's Park, while Kotoko have lost their past three games.
Despite recently having three straight draws, according to Kwesi Adu, Kotoko is still the favorite.
"Monday matchups versus Kotoko are usually challenging, regardless of the location of the game. We were defeated by Kotoko at home and away last season, so we'll be very cautious in this game, he said to Akoma FM.
"We have played roughly 8 games without losing recently, which is a terrific run of form.
"We are heading into our game against Kotoko as massive underdogs; regardless of how well Kotoko is presently doing, they are still the game's favorites.
"If we defeat Kotoko, hallelujah, but because I am unable to forecast a victory, all the Gold Stars can do is improve their play and make them work hard.
"I'll put my brother Nana Yaw Ampomsah up against it."

Annor Walker, the Black Galaxies' head coach, says: "We are eager to hoist the title."
Coach of the Black Galaxies, Annor Walker, has reaffirmed that the squad does not care about its prior accomplishments and is instead focused on winning the 2022 African Nations Championship [CHAN] in Algeria.
Ghana is participating in the competition again after making it to the finals twice in the 2009 and 2014 tournaments, respectively.
The Galaxies were placed in Group C with Madagascar, Sudan, and Morocco.
Walker responded that he does not want to put pressure on his players by reminding them of previous results, but instead wants his team to concentrate on performing well and making Ghana proud. Walker was asked if he believes this current squad can win the trophy that has eluded them at the final hurdle on two occasions.
"What the past squads have accomplished is simply amazing, as we have witnessed. However, the past is now in the past, and we are looking forward to the present, which is under our hands. We are eager to reach the championship game and, certainly, to capture the trophy," the seasoned coach told CAFOnline.
Walker stated, "With that said, we are not thinking about the past but rather of the present and what is ahead of us."
At the Chahid Hamlaoui Stadium in Constantine, the Black Galaxies will begin their season on Sunday against Madagascar, a newcomer.
It has been set at 19:00 GMT to begin the game.
