Rio Ferdinand says Arsenal midfielder Thomas Party is having a good season, but he still thinks he's not as good as Manchester United's Casemiro.
Partey put in another good performance for the Gunners yesterday as they beat Tottenham, dominating midfield alongside Xhaka.
The Ghanaian also nearly scored his one of the goals of the season. His ferocious volley hit the post and would have capped off another great performance. Arsenal FC v Newcastle United - Premier League
Ferdinand admitted the party was going well, but he doesn't believe the Arsenal man will have the same impact at Manchester United.
'Saca's pass, and just around the corner in front of the goal at Audegaul. He actually plays some passes that I didn't know about. Have you seen the pass at Atlético?' said Ferdinand. said on his YouTube show FIVE.
But Ferdinand is no better than Manchester United midfielder Casemiro. "I don't think the party is good enough defensively like Casemiro is doing. I don't think he has the influence that Casemiro brought to Manchester United."
But the party may have the last laugh at Casemiro and United. The Gunners are firmly in contention for the title, but only a dismal late-season result stopped them.
TBR's opinion:
Party and Casemiro equally great
Both players are top class defensive midfielders and Ferdinand always picks United players.
Casemiro changed the game for United. But parties are essential to Arsenal, and his fitness is absolutely crucial to the Gunners' success.
The debate over which is better is probably a difficult one to answer. Casemiro has moved to United, but partying is an integral part of it.
Either way, both are good players. And at the end of the season, both could be named Team of the Year.

Transfer market | Chelsea wants to break the bank again!
As they point out in England, 'blue' clubs target Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo
After signing Mudryk for around €100 million, Chelsea are ready to tap the market again
It's not for the money. After spending his $100 million on Mudryk and signing other greats like Badiashile and his Fofana, Chelsea is looking to hit his pockets again in the market this winter. The 'blue' club doesn't seem to care that it is his January and he is in the middle of the season. The team needs a face change and club owners are ready to make the necessary signatures.
As a result, sports administrators are already working to sign a midfielder if the Graham Potter-led team needs it for the remainder of the season. And all eyes are on Brighton. As they point out in England, Chelsea would be eager for Moises Caicedo's services. Moises Caicedo is an all-rounder and one of his revelations this season.
Brighton will not let him leave easily and there are already rumors that the 'blue' club are willing to invest up to £75m to sign a mid-season player. After his 200km in the summer and about 200km he spent in January, Chelsea are determined to make a new effort and give the best for the Ecuadorian player.
