Currently In Ghana, a monster has finally been created and unleashed; and that monster has become the most terrible mistake ever made by Ghanaians.
The situation in the Ghana has grown, and gone beyond control; to the extent that, when our leaders do the wrongs; or engage in illegal acts, there arise people who are ready to jump in, and defend them or cover them up.
As a country; and as usual with this government, it was a great surprise, when we witnessed a situation in the country's parliament, where during the election of a Speaker, Mr. Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, (Member of Parliament of Tema West constituency) snatched a ballot box, and instead of condemning him, the Majority NPP members in Parliament, came strongly in his defense; and to cover him up.
Again; in Ghana under this Nana Addo's NPP government; and being the first time in our history, we saw military men invading parliament (which was illegal). We also saw about 8 people shot dead during elections; and as usual, the NPP Members of Parliament came in boldly to defend it.
We live in Ghana; and saw the Country's Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu engaged in an illegal Sputnik V vaccine procurement deal. Even when the Minority NDC in Parliament (by article 82 of Ghana's constitution), filed a motion aiming at passing a vote of censure on the Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyeman Manu; the NPP Members in Parliament came in strongly as usual, defended the act and protected the Health Minister's crime.
To worsen matters; 'hell broke' loose when Ghanaians were forced to pay mobile money tax against their wish.
The introduction of the most controversial Electronic levy bill (E-levy) by President Nana Addo and his cousin Ken Ofori Atta, was the climax, and the 'mother of all the illegalities' committed by this NPP government led by Nana Addo and Ken Ofori Atta.
Even when the whole nation resisted its introduction, the NPP members of parliament fought fiercely to approve the mobile money tax.
In the middle of all these cover-ups and defensive activities; from the NPP MPs, a 'monster' was being
created, and this 'monster' is the current Nana Addo and the Ofori Atta that we have today. The Akufo Addo we saw in 2016 prior to elections; The Nana Addo who humbled to Ghana whiles looking for power; has now become the worst mistake made by Ghanaians.
The creators of this 'monster' includes the 'We-Three'; the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon Joseph Osei Owusu, the Majority leader in Parliament, Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu and the Deputy Majority Leader in the Parliament, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin.
These were the three main parliamentarians, who were always seen on the floor of parliament; on the media and so on; jumping into defense whenever president Nana Addo goes wrong, and they never realized, that they were creating a 'monster'.
And in my view, all the current 'indecent' behaviors of President Nana Addo and his families in government, was caused by the NPP caucus in Parliament, led by the 'We-Three'; the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon Joseph Osei Owusu, the Majority leader in Parliament, Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu and the Deputy Majority Leader in the Parliament, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin.
We all understand, that, when we say a 'cover-up', we simply mean putting something on top of, or in front of something in order to protect or conceal it; and this includes trying to cover up the scandal; or trying to hide the fact of illegal or illicit activity.
We also understands; that when we continue to do cover-ups for bad people; and when we continue to protect the people who do wrong or illegal activities; or engage in cover-ups for criminal, we are gradually building-up 'monsters'; and these 'monsters will became disastrous after they have developed wings.
These are the three 'beasts' produced by the NPP into Ghana' Parliament; that continually defended president Nana Addo, and always covered his bad leadership styles; whiles at the same time creating a 'monster Nana Addo', that we have today.
