According to numerous reports from Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport, American international and midfielder Weston McKennie has rejected a move to Aston Villa in favor of accepting an offer from a bigger team.

According to reports coming out of Italy, McKennie is hoping for a bid from Tottenham, Chelsea, or Borussia Dortmund, all of which are rumored to be interested in signing him.

According to recent rumors, McKennie now favoured joining the German side out of all of his potential suitors.

According to reports, Villa is prepared to meet Juventus' asking price of $32 million (€30 million) for the American star.

McKennie, however, is reportedly a potential transfer target for Tottenham in the January transfer season.

While Calcio Mercato, another Italian publication, had earlier asserted that Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is interested in bringing a fellow countryman to Stamford Bridge.

According to current speculation, McKennie has turned down Villa's offers in favor of landing a transfer to a stronger Premier League team or the Bundesliga giant.

McKennie has established himself as a mainstay of the American midfield in addition to showing himself at the highest levels of Serie A after doing so in the Bundesliga while representing Schalke.

He played a total of 275 minutes while starting all four of the US's games in the World Cup in Qatar.

But after Paul Pogba returned from his successful campaign in Qatar, Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri made him accessible.

After McKennie's playing time started to decline and rumors started to circulate that he would be available for anywhere between $21 and $36 million, he was first noted as a player who might be on the move during the current January window a few weeks ago.

Juventus may be eager to sell McKennie given the fact that the team revealed they had a loss of €254 million on their books back in September, in addition to having Pogba replace his position.

Following the resignation of the club's board of directors as a result of an inquiry into exaggerated transfer valuations, the club has since been rocked by a scandal.
