Chelsea will face Liverpool in a tense Premier League clash this Saturday at Anfield, with both teams having drawn their previous four meetings in a row. According to this season's Premier League ratings, the 4-1-2-3 strongest combined Chelsea and Liverpool XI is as follows:
Goalkeeper:
Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arizabalaga has been outstanding in the Premier League, making more big saves and blocks than Liverpool shot stopper Alisson.
Defence:
Thiago Silva and Koulibaly of Chelsea play in central defense, while Trent Alexander Arnold and Robertson of Liverpool play in the wing-back positions.
Midfield:
Liverpool's Fabinho and Thiago Alacantara dominate the combined Strongest XI, as does Chelsea's Mason Mount, who has been consistent in the Premier League.
Forwards:
Liverpool dominate the attack, led by Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah, as well as Kai Havertz, who recently scored the winning goal for Chelsea against Crystal Palace, the Blues' first victory in 2023.

Chelsea contact RB Leipzig regarding possible signing of Josko Gvardiol
According to BILD journalist Christian Faulk, Premier League giants Chelsea have reached out to his Bundesliga RB his Leipzig about Josko Gvardiol.
The 20-year-old Croatia international defender was one of his standout players at the recent FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Gvaardiol is a solid defensive presence and has what it takes to become a world-class center and his defender for years to come.
Chelsea have had a long relationship with the youngster, but so far his pursuit has not gone far, technically as his director Christopher his Bivel gave his club the Bundesliga overture. It doesn't look like you threw in the towel. Vibel worked at Leipzig before moving to Chelsea. Chelsea may have received a glimmer of hope while Leipzig persisted in keeping their stars.
Chelsea seem unlikely to sign Gvardiol this January, but a summer deal is still a possibility. The 20-year-old has a hefty €110 million release clause that could very much depend on Bruce's willingness to fulfill it.
The arrival of Todd Bawley did little to stave off Chelsea's transfer-market spending. Considering Gvardiol can hold the team's backline for over a decade, there's little reason to believe the Americans won't sign the King's Ransom.
While Kalidou Koulibaly has slowed his pace in the Premier League, Thiago Silva has not rejuvenated. Wesley Fofana struggles with injuries, but Trevo Chalobah isn't done yet. To describe the Blues' centre-back as mixed is an understatement.
Chelsea signed Benoît his Badiasil earlier this month, and the youngster made a solid debut for Crystal against his Palace, contributing to a goal conceded for Graham Potter-led sides. Once Gvaldiol arrives, he, along with Badiasil and Fofana, could provide the stability Potter and Co crave at the heart of their defense.
Gabardior has also caught the attention of other clubs, including Real Madrid and Liverpool. Chelsea are in the midst of a massive rebuild and need to band together. They have also signed several deals with Leipzig in recent years and are set to sign Christoper Nkunku next summer. Whether or not Gvardiol will join this gravy his train remains to be seen.
