As part of its corporate social responsibility obligations, on January 7, 2022, Delta Paper Mill Limited, the company that makes the Flora brand of high-quality tissues, donated a variety of paper tissue products, washing powder, and chocolate candies to the Royal Seed Orphanage Home in Papase No. 1, Kasoa.
The firm also offered the home's administrators an unknown monetary sum to aid with expenses related to the day-to-day running of the facility, in addition to the product gift, which is believed to be in the neighbourhood of 10,965 cedis.
It was made known that this contribution was a component of a series of giving campaigns aimed at special institutions that would take place later in the year. Partnering with Alpha Industries Limited allowed for the present gift to be made possible.
Serwaa Amihere and Cynthia Tima Yeboah, respectively brand representatives for Top Choco and Flora tissues, were present for the donation. The two brand faces did more than just grace the occasion with their presence; they also made the activity more engaging for the kids and the home's officials.
The company's spokesperson for events, Miss Amy Tachie Menson, told the media that her brand (Flora tissues) was dedicated to the overall benefit of society and that it also saw the contribution as an opportunity to express gratitude to the people of Ghana for their continuous support of the brand in 2022.
She emphasised, "We want to reassure Ghanaians that from every flora tissues product purchased, a respectable amount would be preserved towards such community service initiatives this year.
Delta Paper Mill Limited committed about 500,000 Ghana cedis in 2022 alone through their CSR programme, Flora Cares, with renowned organisations like as the School for the Blind, Akropong; School for the Deaf, Adjei Kojo; and Porters Village Orphanage, Dodowa, all reaping the benefits.
According to the company's Marketing Director, Barbara Incoom, after its successful CSR engagements in 2022, it was prepared to reach out to other institutions of a similar nature in 2023 with gifts in kind or money.
