Who is in and who is out of the combined XI of Manchester United and Arsenal?

Sunday's Premier League match between Manchester United and Arsenal might have a significant impact on the fight for the championship.

Erik ten Hag's team will head to the Emirates in an effort to slow the Gunners' title defense and close the eight-point deficit on the league's top team.

Because there has been so much talk about both teams leading up to the match, Sportsmail has put together an all-Arsenal and all-Manchester United starting XI. There were some difficult decisions to be made.

ARON RAMSDALE is the goalkeeper (ARSENAL)

Of all the positions on the field, this one presents maybe the toughest decision. Both David De Gea of Manchester United and Aaron Ramsdale of Arsenal have been doing well this season.

With the Spaniard having eight clean sheets to Ramsdale's nine this year, there isn't much separating the two shot-stoppers.

Ramsdale is favoured because, despite De Gea's recent heroics, including a fantastic save against Crystal Palace, his gaffe against Everton in the FA Cup is still fresh in everyone's mind.

ADVOCATE: BEN WHITE (ARSENAL)

It's difficult to overlook the Englishman for the team's right-back position. And that doesn't make Aaron Wan-Bissaka look bad.

In the Premier League, White is perhaps the finest player at his position and has had a fantastic season.

With two assists and a hand in five clean sheets this season, the England international has been a mainstay for the league leaders.

The top defender in the Premier League this season is WILLIAM SALIBA (ARSENAL). Saliba's return to Arsenal after his loan stints in France has given the Gunners' defense a much-needed boost.

The 21-year-old center back, who won Ligue 1's Young Player of the Year honor the previous season, has carried over his success into the current campaign.

He already has eight clean sheets under his belt and has contributed at both ends of the field with two goals and one assist.

In actuality, leaving the French international out of this team would be illegal. even for Lisandro Martinez, a World Cup victor.
