Identify the former Manchester United player if you can
Fans of Manchester United were taken aback by the former player's appearance after he was photographed during the holidays posing with friends and family.
The former United midfielder played for the club for just three years, making just 27 appearances in all competitions, but he was a part of the treble-winning team in 1998–99.
But once he was spotted with a thick beard and a beer during the holiday season, fans found it difficult to identify the former England Under 21 international.
Fans found it difficult to identify 44-year-old Jonathan Greening from the picture.
Greening had long, luxurious hair throughout his career, but it was a little bit shorter at Old Trafford.
However, since his retirement, Greening has kept a clean haircut and grown out a beard, and the former midfielder appeared to be in good shape.
He joined United in 1998 in a deal that may have cost up to £2 million after moving up through York City's youth systems.
He was not used as a substitute in their thrilling victory over Bayern Munich in the 1999 Champions League final at the Nou Camp, although he did receive a medal.
In search of first team football, he transferred to Middlesbrough, where he made more than 100 appearances.
The following year, Greening moved on to West Brom, where he played a key role in their 'Great Escape' at the Hawthorns. Later, he won the Championship with West Brom in 2007–08.
He left, nevertheless, to join Fulham when the Baggies were demoted from the Premier League in 2009, and he participated in the Cottagers' 2010 Europa League final loss to Atletico Madrid.
Before hanging up his boots in 2017, he played for Tadcaster Albion, York, and Nottingham Forest in the latter stages of his career.
Since then, Greening has gained experience as a coach and last year led his hometown team Scarborough Athletic to promotion from the Northern Premier League.
