Hearts of Oak mercurial attacking midfielder Salifu Ibrahim is currenly a subject of transfer speculation in the local media, with the former Eleven Wonders linchpin being linked with a move away from the Ghanaian heavyweights to the Bundesliga side Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
The gifted ballplaying attacker has been a chief tormentor for clubs in the Ghanaian top-flight and his stupendous displays on the local scene have gone unnoticed as he is now attracting attention amongst suitors across Europe.
According to multiple reports in the local media, the Ghana U-23 star's representatives' has held talks with the German outfit over the services of his client, with both parties said to be satisfied with the terms and conditions of the yet-to-be-signed agreement.
The 'Phobians' are believed to be eager to extend their current deal with the nimble left-footed attacker and have called for a showdown talks over contract extension with his representatives in their bid to safeguard his future beyond the summer.
Salifu has a running contract with the Accra-based club until Jun 30, 2024 and per his transfermarkt valuation, Bayer Leverkusen and the rest of his admiers are to fork out €150,000 if they are to land his services in the foreseeable future.
Having played a pivotal role in Hearts of Oak double title triumph last season, the mercurial attacker has this term featured in 10 league games, scoring 2 and assisting 1 for the one-time continental club masters in the ongoing Ghana Premier League 22/23 football season.
He is yet to be capped by Ghana at the men's senior national team, the Black Sars.
