Since the competition began in August, the 2022/23 English Premier League season has been full of surprises and excitement. In the middle of the season, some incredible records were broken and others were maintained.

The Premier League has been dominated by Arsenal, who have been at the top of the table since August and have never finished second. Small teams have also been dominant in the competition, with some outperforming most big clubs.Brighton & Hove Albion, Fulham, Newcastle United, and Brentford have all been fantastic to watch; all are in the top ten, with Newcastle United sitting third in the Premier League table.

In the Premier League table, all of these small teams are ahead of Premier League giants like Liverpool and Chelsea. They have performed admirably in every game, and we may see two small English teams competing in Europe next season.

However, there has been one English Premier League team this season that has kept more clean sheets than they have conceded. Newcastle United has been incredibly dominant this season, surprising everyone even though the season is only halfway through. In the 2022/23 English Premier League season, they were the only team with more clean sheets than goals conceded.

The Magpies have been in the top four for several weeks, and their chances of playing in the Champions League next season continue to improve with each gameweek.

Newcastle has been high scoring, dominating matches, and winning crucial matches, allowing them to compete with Manchester City, Arsenal, and Manchester United. If they continue on their current winning streak, they could be playing in the Champions League next season.

Tottenham transfer target loved his club's manager who has just been sacked

Jordan Pickford was a big fan of Frank Lampard during his tenure at Everton.

The Daily Mail reports that England's number one was one of the players who appreciated Lampard's approach before he was sacked.

They say the £30 million man is 'thinking about the world' for Lampard.

Now Everton are looking for a new manager again in January to avoid relegation to the championship.

Tottenham need a new long-term successor to Hugo Lloris. Pickford has been rumored to be moving to north London and is likely to have ambitions to play for a club that is struggling in European competition.

Aaron Ramsdale and Nick Pope are pushing him to England and both will be in the Champions League next season.

Fabrizio Romano told GiveMeSport:

"Tottenham must decide on a plan with Loris as he is not very young.

"That's why they're looking at options across Europe and Pickford is one of many worthy goalkeepers."

The 28-year-old enters the final year of his contract this summer and will almost certainly move on if Everton are eliminated.
