Elected governor of the Osun state Ademola Adeleke and uncle of Nigerian and BET award winning singer David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has been sacked as governor of osun state by election petition tribunal chaired by justice tertse kume.
The election tribunal sacked Ademola Adeleke following claims of over voting in some parts of the polling units. In the majority judgement issued by two judges against one, the independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ordered that the certificate awarded to Mr. Ademola Adeleke should be withdrawn with immediate effect and issued to the newly and elected governor Adegboyega oyetola.
The tribunal made the declaration that, APC’s Adegboyega oyetola is the winner of the osun state governorship which was held on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
Justice kume addressing the issue stated that, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) did not comply with the constitution and the provision of the electoral act.
Governor Adeleke won the heart of many during his campaign days with his nephew David Adeleke popularly known as Davido. He recently went viral for his major dance moves. Although Mr. Ademola Adeleke is yet to respond this devastating news made by the tribunal this is the major news circulation on social media.
