Rappers are mostly considered the best when it comes to wordplay, and for that reason, a rapper may choose to diss a fellow rapper using word plays and a fan or mere listener may have no idea of the words used.
In a new trending story, Chicago rapper who goes by the stage name “Chance the rapper” has to double check if he got dissed my Bronx rapper ice spice. Ice spice is out with a new tune titled “In Ha Hood” where she does a little bit of word play with the stage name of chance the rapper.
In part of the lyrics of the song, Ice spice raps “"In the mirror, I'm doin' my dance(Like) And he packing', I know by his pants (Grrah) / He a rapper, but don't got a chance / Stuck in my ways so I'm lovin' my bands
(Damn)."
Chance the rapper crossing paths with the Bronx rapper's lyrics, Chance the rapper
took to his official Instagram Story and put up a poll with a snippet of the song, asking his followers if the bars or word play used by ice spice were just a shoutout or a diss towards him. He captioned the post, "Is this a diss or a
shoutout @/icespice."
Responding to Chance the rapper, Ice Spice also took to her instagram story and reposted the poll and captioned it “Never” giving chance the rapper clue that she would never disrespect him by dissing him on a song. Chance the rapper reposted ice spice reply on his story and captioned it “just double checking lol”.
This short cruise by these rappers has spark a whole lot of conversations online with fans debating about the word play. Ice spice receive applauds for being able to come out with such an iconic world play.
