Barcelona coaching staff want to sign a new winger instead of a striker

FC Barcelona are exploring the possibility of making last-minute moves in the transfer market before the January transfer window closes.

According to Helena Condis, Barcelona's top priority is to sign a new centre-back, especially after Robert Lewandowski's suspension and the lack of a replacement for the Poland international.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is considered a possibility, among others. But it seems Barca's priorities have changed and their coach Xavi Hernandez is now pushing to sign a new winger.

This is largely due to the departure of Memphis Depay. The Dutchman joined Atletico Madrid on a permanent deal earlier this month. His ability to play on the wing and experience have made him a worthwhile option for Barca.

Demand for a new winger is heightened by the recent injury of star player Ousmane Dembele. The Frenchman recently picked up a serious injury that left him sidelined, leaving Xavi without any reliable options on the right flank.

Although Barcelona are proud of Raphinha's service, the Brazilian has simply failed to reach his full potential since joining the club from Leeds United. In any case, Barcelona need one more player to compete with the former Rennes star and that is where a new winger can come into play.

It is widely reported that Blaugrana has considered recalling Abde Ezzalzouli after a successful loan deal at CA Osasuna. But the Spanish side have no intention of selling their star winger and are not negotiating, leaving Barcelona to fend for themselves in the transfer market.

The next few hours could be crucial for the Catalans as they search for the best option available on the market and strengthen their squad in the final minutes.

Chelsea are working hard to reach a final agreement to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica today.

Chelsea has always been the busiest club in this transfer window, and that will always extend into the final days. The Stamford Bridge club are currently working hard to reach an agreement to sign Fernandez from Benfica and they are willing to pay a substantial fee to do so.

Chelsea try to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica

The club has officials currently working on the deal and there is some optimism that it can be done this time around. Chelsea and Benfica have never ended conversation about Enzo, and despite some discomfort from both sides, the two have kept in touch with the 22-year-old. It is seething in the background and although Chelsea have made offers and interest in other midfielders, I think games are being played by both teams on this matter.

If Chelsea find it difficult to sign Enzo at this stage of the transfer window, then they need to be confident that their latest offers will be accepted.

The stumbling block remains Rui Costa, but there are mixed opinions among others on the Benfica board, with many believing they should agree to Chelsea's latest offer. Chelsea are willing to pay a £106m buyout clause for Enzo, but they want to pay it off in installments. Costa emphasized that only activating the full clause would allow Enzo to get that opportunity. At the moment, negotiations are still ongoing and there is some belief that Chelsea can do so this time around. It will now be a very intense day or two to see if they can actually pull this off, and Chelsea fans should brace themselves for another short burst of mixed emotions and news. He has a feeling that a positive outcome can be achieved, but let's see.

Conor Gallagher could return to Crystal Palace

As for exits, Chelsea will certainly be looking to sell players now, maybe even during this transfer window again. Nothing is progressing for Hakim Ziyech at the moment, although interest in him has grown. It is definitely still one to see this window.

If Chelsea get Enzo, it is likely that Conor Gallagher will go to Crystal Palace on loan. I understand that it is a decision that has been touted by the people at Palace and Gallagher. But that cannot and will only happen if Chelsea sign a new centre-back within the next two days. Gallagher has always longed to stay and succeed at Chelsea, but it is believed that if another midfielder arrives at the club, his playing time will be greatly reduced. He's primarily a player who comes on from the bench and won't start as often when everyone else is healthy.

He is also interested in Borussia Dortmund, but it is supposed to be in the summer and not now. Gallagher has always been Palace or Chelsea, and if he can't get to Stamford Bridge, he'll find a way back to Palace.

At this stage, the exact details of any potential Palace deal for Gallagher are unknown, and I've also heard that Chelsea really just want to consider the permanent sale of one of their players. during this transfer period. It may be too late for that now, and they may have to agree a loan to buy Gallagher's contract, if they decide to let him go. It should be noted that Graham Potter really liked Gallagher and the club was reluctant
