Renowned Ghanaian tv presenter of GTV Ghana Kafui Dey has sent out some words of wisdom to the people of Ghana. He sent out these words on his hosting show “Breakfast show” where they discuss matters of the country and entertainment.
Kafui Dey speaking on the matter of Ghanaians lashing the hell out of the celebrated rapper and BET award winner Michael Owusu Addo better known as Sarkodie asked Ghanaians to celebrate and appreciate his work on the “Stir it up” remix by the late Bob Marley and not show unnecessary hate towards him.
This bashing and criticism all came to light after Sarkodie got featured on the remix of late Bob marleys “stir it up” song, with industry colleagues like Yaa pono, Shatta wale and more making fun of the collabo with the ironic statement “featuring a ghost”.
Kafui Dey who could not stand how the people of Ghana are ridiculing their own artiste while nationals of other countries are rather celebrating this milestone revealed the following;
"This is a 50-year-old song, and the record label, Island Records, reached out to Sarkodie and got him to do a feature on it. There's been a lot of support and there's been a lot of hate as well, and I don't even understand the hate. Most of the hate is coming from Ghana.
"I went on YouTube just to see what the people are saying and where they are saying it from...it's not about the ignorant comments on Sarkodie featuring a ghost. This is business, Island Records reaches out to the musician and they put the collabo on...it is beyond music, Ghana-Jamaica. Let's support our own people, all this unnecessary fighting takes us nowhere," he urged.
Sarkodie got featured on the late Bob Marleys track few days ago, the video of the remix is out on the YouTube page of the Bob Marley and it’s doing very well. Do well to check it out.
