Bernardo Silva told he can leave Manchester City by Pep Guardiola - but not until the summer
Bernardo Silva is said to be able to leave Manchester City in 2023, but will have to wait until the summer before making a move.
That's according to various outlets reporting that the Manchester City playmaker will remain at the Etihad until the end of this season. Many elite clubs were on high alert.
Silva is reportedly feeling uneasy after a glorious five-and-a-half years as Premier League champions at City. His sustained performances have been key to four league titles, his one FA Cup and four League Cups. But in recent months, tabloids have reported growing dissatisfaction with Silva's campaign. Guardiola famously doesn't tolerate unlucky players in the locker room and he told Silva he could leave.
A similar situation happened to Cyrus' club and national team-mate Joao Cancelo earlier this week. The defender was reportedly unhappy while playing as he failed to appear in any of City's final three matches. Cancelo joins the Bundesliga giants on loan until the end of the season, with the option to sign a full deal. Silva has emerged as one of Guardiola's most important players in recent seasons, but is said to be open to new challenges. Arsenal and Manchester United are among the domestic teams showing interest, but a move from Ligue 1 to La Liga giants Barcelona or PSG is more likely as a result of summer transfers. Many people believe.
