As reported by Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are in the process of loaning out some of their players after Marquinhos joins Norwich City. Albert Sambi Lokonga also leaves Emirates to join Crystal Palace, and medical tests are being completed.

This season, the Belgian has struggled for minutes under Mikel Arteta, last appearing in the Premier League on October 1. Lokonga has had a difficult first 18 months at Arsenal since joining from Anderlecht in July 2021, with only 39 appearances during that time.

Matt Doherty leaves Tottenham and joins Atletico Madrid on a loan deal. Personal terms have also been agreed upon, and medical tests are scheduled for tonight. Dohertinho was the next most likely wingback to depart — he's 31 years old and never really established himself as a regular attacking wingback option, though he's certainly had his moments and proven to be a very good teammate.

Enner Valencia Claims Moises Caicedo Should Have Learned From His West Ham Transfer Mistake

Enner Valencia thinks Moises Caicedo should learn from West Ham's transfer mistake

Former West Ham striker Enner Valencia has said he would advise Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo not to publicly announce his intention to leave the club.

Valencia captain Caicedo is at international level with Ecuador, and he admits that he considered contacting the 20-year-old for some advice:

“I looked for my number to call him, but he said no need, I will leave him alone. There are times when you need to clear your mind and think alone, as a family. If he had talked to me before, I would have told him not to post this message.

“It [should] be everything done in-house. The best way was to discuss it with his team, but he didn't do it that way; I'm sure someone recommended it. This is definitely a great opportunity and we all want him to do well for what kind of person he is.

Arsenal and Chelsea have both been pursuing Caicedo, while he was also said to have intended a move to the Hammers a few months ago, but his efforts appear to have failed. Valencia says he learned a hard lesson after trying to leave West Ham that such a public failure benefits no one:

"They wouldn't let me out and I didn't even play. So Chalo (Gonzalo Vargas, his agent) had to fight half of England to let me out.

Valencia finally got his wish after being loaned to Everton in 2016 before moving on to Mexican side Tigres almost a year later. He is currently playing in Turkey for Fenerbahce, where he has scored 19 goals in 17 appearances this season.
