Whatever deal Spurs make after a busy transfer deadline day.
Tottenham may have abandoned him too late, but manager Antonio Conte has at least managed to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window.
While the long-term future of the Italian coach is still up for debate, Spurs managed to bring in reinforcements as Conte looks to attack the top four in the second half of the season.
Qualification for the Champions League is essential if the club is to hold on to Conte or Harry Kane and the prospect of going a full month without signing will make fans uncomfortable.
Ins:
Arnaut Danjuma - Villarreal, loan
Pedro Porro - Sporting, £39 million
Jude Sunsup-Bell - Chelsea, undisclosed
Poro has been a top target for Spurs and his signing after a dramatic chase is a huge boost. Conte is desperate to sign a new right-back and the Spain international is seen as a major upgrade for Emerson Royal, Matt Doherty, and Jed Spence.
Danjuma, stolen from Everton by Spurs, provided cover for a front line that has been ravaged by injuries to Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski throughout the campaign. Soonsup-Bell, meanwhile, will join up with the club's Under-21 squad ahead of his loan move this summer.
outs:
Brian Gill - Seville, loan
Matt Doherty - Atlético Madrid, free transfer
Jed Spence - Rennes, loan
Harvey White - Darby, Rent
Adam Hayton - Barnsley, undisclosed
Neither Gill, Doherty nor Spence have convinced Conte, so their departures should have little impact on the Spur's first team until the end of the season.
Matt Doherty has left Tottenham after they agreed to terminate his contract on transfer deadline day.
Spurs are ready to announce the signing of Pedro Porro from Sporting CP and the Irish defender has joined Atletico Madrid on loan to make way for a £39 million signing, following previous reports.
But the club's late confirmation meant the end of Doherty's north London career.
A statement said: "We want to thank Matt for his service and wish him well in the future."
