Chelsea signed Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for £106.8 million before the January transfer window closed on Tuesday.
With the transfer of the Portuguese midfielder completed, the Blues' total spending under new ownership is close to £527 million.
However, based on Boehly's other club as a model, a Reddit user known as porno gil has urged fans not to expect that kind of spending to continue.
"For context, Boehly did the same thing with the [Major League Baseball team] Los Angeles Dodgers when his group bought them," a football fan wrote.
"The idea is that they invest heavily now to compete now and then over time develop financially sustainable talent pipelines. I would never expect to spend this much money again."

Liverpool's season is coming to an end, but Jürgen Klopp still has the ultimate chance to turn things around. Pep Guardiola knows he's more than he's capable of.
Looking back on this season at Liverpool after all these years, it seems like a very strange anomaly for Jürgen Klopp's side to score a double (at least) against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side. I guess.
With the league's second leg still to go, Liverpool have already tied the Premier League and the Community Shield, and are narrowly out in the league's Cup. It's not an award Klopp boasts about, but it's historically notable. Last season, when Liverpool came close to quadrupling, they had three bites in the cherry against Manchester City. However, with their only win in the FA Cup, they could only manage two league draws that ultimately proved crucial in the title race.
Previously, Liverpool endured a rather unremarkable and terrible fight against Guardiola, with him only winning once in nine meetings between October 2018 and April 2022. To find out when Klopp last doubled for Manchester City, we'll have to rewind a bit.
Technically, Liverpool achieved the 'triple' in his 2017/18, a memorable premiership where he won 4-3 in his league matches and an equally notable Champions League quarter-final. They went on to win both matches in the final. However, it took a very long time before Klopp brought both trophies to Anfield. His relative success against Guardiola this season has been a long-awaited one.
I have an obvious question:
who cares? Community His shield is one step away from friendly games, a league win never took Klopp's side higher than his ninth place at half-time, and his one match, which Guardiola won, was Liverpool's Cup. Shattered defenses. Aside from a big-league comeback, the Champions League is left with his disappointing draw with Real Madrid.

But this next matchup is exactly why Liverpool will have to pick themselves up from Klopp's rare win over Guardiola. It's been a very poor season overall, but his two wins against Manchester City are part of a larger trend.
In general, Liverpool have performed better against the 'bigger' teams this season. I can't say the team excelled at such encounters yet, but at least they're back to their old selves. They are the only team to beat domineering Newcastle in the Premier League, win over Spurs and push runaway leaders Arsenal much stronger than the rest.
Whether it's a worrying mentality, a tactical quirk of big teams that tend to push for wins, or a combination of both is debatable. The league's big game seems to suit Liverpool, making this league format somewhat negligible.
After all, Liverpool only narrowly secured a top four place when Klopp had Guardiola's number in his 2017/18 season. Certainly this team had a very different feeling. The feeling of a team on the rise. Still, there's reason to be optimistic that the Reds can still enjoy some competition, starting with Real Madrid.
it goes without saying
