200 exceptional but underprivileged kids in her district have received financial aid thanks to Dakota Newman, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Okaikoi South Constituency in the Greater Accra Region.
The beneficiaries were chosen from a variety of communities, including churches located within the Okaikoi South area. The majority of the beneficiaries are studying undergraduate degrees, Senior High, as well as diploma and certificate courses.
"The financial assistance provided by the MP would go a long way to help me pay my tuition and other expenses," Sandra Owusu, a third-year female beneficiary student at the University of Ghana, said the aforementioned.

She took advantage of the chance to thank the MP for her generosity and further encouraged other benefactor kids to stick with Studios in their effort to please their parents.
This is the second time the MP has helped the disadvantaged pupils in her district through her financial support program.
The politician stated during her address at a brief ceremony conducted in Kaneshie that she relies on financial help as part of her efforts to improve education in the region.
The purpose of the financial support, according to Miss Newman, is to sponsor gifted yet deserving youngsters from her district who are qualified for Senior High Schools as well as Tertiary Institutions.
The MP went on to say that her organization provided financial help to 150 mainly students last year, and she chose to boost the number of recipients to 200 because the number of disadvantaged students in need of assistance keeps growing.
"We have plans to tie the financial aid to these kids' performance so that great students will receive twice the financial aid they do now," This action, the legislator explained, would encourage others to work hard in their studies to be eligible for such educational help while motivating them (beneficiary students) to take their studies extremely seriously.
The honorable MP emphasized the value of education and urged the students who would benefit to pursue their studies seriously so that they would be better prepared to enter the workforce of the nation.
Some of the parents of the recipient students spoke after collecting the funds on behalf of their kids. They could not contain their joy as they thanked the MP and promised to spend the money as planned.
