Ghanaian musician and radio journalist better known as Blakk Rasta is facing serious criticisms and backlashing over comments he made regarding Sarkodie’s feature on the remix of “Stir it up’ by the late and reggae legend Bob Marley.
It all began when news broke out about Ghanaian rap icon Michael Owusu Addo better known as Sarkodie got featured on the remix of “Stir it up” by the late Bob Marley which became the talk of town. Most fans and industry colleagues were happy about the achievement and it seems other colleagues also had a problem with the team of the late Bob Marley featuring Sarkodie hence they began making unwanted comments regarding the project.
Yaa pono, Shatta wale, Mr.logic and Blakk Rasta are a few of such people who seem not happy about the whole thing. Blakk Rasta on his morning show in tv3 asserted that Sarkodie is a one way artist and he should not have being featured on the track and that Bob Marley would not be happy if he was alive. He further called on the remaijsing family of the late Bob Marley and questioned them if it was right to do this to Marley.
“So @stephenmarley @ziggymarley
@JulianMarley @cedellamarley, what's
this new craze of DESECRATING
@bobmarley music with these
posthumous collaborations? Would Bob
have sanctioned this if he was alive
today? Remember what he said about
his music and @BarryWhite music? Stop this!”
These tweets and comments by him generated a lot of reactions and insults to him by fans and loved ones of Sarkodie. In a new tweet made by ace broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah, she throws her weight behind Sarkodie and ask Blakk Rasta to shut his mouth and deal with the pain.
"You’re not the only human being on this planet who adores Bob Marley. You’re not wiser than the managers of his estate. This desecration placard you’re wielding makes you look rather inebriated than concerned. Sark was featured because he’s superb. DEAL WITH IT!"
