Manchester City is likely to face a fine, points deduction or even expulsion from the Premier League following the new findings from the official committee. Manchester City is being charged with breaking the financial fair play rules at the top league in Europe.
A Premier League statement has confirmed: “Manchester City have been charged with numerous breaches of financial rules ”. They are charged with not providing the full and detailed records of their financial dealings. The charges stem from over 9 seasons.
According to reports, Manchester City will not be able to appeal any sanction to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the one which overturned the UEFA ban.
Manchester City has also released a statement, saying they are surprised by the alleged breaches, however they are hoping the whole matter and issues will be put to rest soon.

“Manchester City FC is surprised by the issuing of these alleged breaches of the Premier League rules, particularly given the extensive engagement and vast amount of detailed materials that the EPL has been provided with, the club welcomes the review of this matter by an independent commission, to impartially consider the comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence that exists in support of its position. As such we look forward to this matter being put to rest once and for all."
