Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly looking for a new goalkeeper ahead of the summer transfer window.
The team's current goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, has had a bad season so far and has been criticized for several errors leading to goals.
His performance drew criticism from fans as well as pundits, with Garth Crook claiming that Spurs would not win anything with the Frenchman in goal.
It has been reported that the Tottenham management are also considering a long-term replacement for their veteran goalkeeper.
According to 90min, Spurs were one of the clubs that sent scouts to watch Porto's Diogo Costo play - Chelsea and Manchester United are the other Premier League clubs. The Portuguese No 1 signed a new contract with the club last November and, according to Fabrizio Romano, has a release clause of 75 million euros.
Spurs have also been linked with a number of other goalkeepers, including Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak, Everton's Jordan Pickford, Leeds United's Illan Meslier and Brighton's Robert Sanchez.
The club's recent relationship with Atletico Madrid is particularly interesting as they can use the relationship to try to sign both Yannick Carrasco and Jan Oblak in a double.
Jan Oblak is considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world and has been linked with Atletico Madrid for a while.
He has won numerous trophies with the Spanish club and is credited with helping them maintain one of the strongest defences in Europe. If Tottenham can secure his signature, it will be a blow to the club and a sign of their ambition.
Jordan Pickford is another player linked with a move to Tottenham. The Everton goalkeeper has been in excellent form this season and is an important player for the club. He also established himself as England's number one goalkeeper, which is testament to his talent. However, he has been criticized for a number of critical errors, which could concern Spurs. In terms of signings and top quality, Oblak would be the undisputed choice, but Spurs have plenty of excellent goalkeepers to choose from.
