Phil Jones makes a lot of money without working. The England midfielder's career took a big turn after a long-term injury left him sidelined for several months. Jones signed a new deal with Manchester United in 2019 and is expected to earn £75,000 a week, or £15.6 million a year. As it stands, he is one of the highest paid centre-backs in the Premier League and he is currently earning a high salary without making a single appearance for the club.
However, he made eight appearances for Manchester United last season but he has yet to play under Erik Yen Hag this season. Based on Phil Jones' salary, he earns £10,814 per day, £446 per hour and £7.44 per minute. These numbers tell you how much Manchester United pay a player who contributes nothing to the team. Jones' contract expires in June 2023 and it is clear that Manchester United will not be renewing his contract.
It is possible that none of Europe's top clubs will be willing to sign Jones when his contract with Manchester United expires. This is due to his injury record and lack of fitness. It is likely that no club is willing to pay for a player to sit on the bench and do nothing for the club.

Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler has questioned the futures of four Chelsea players after the club spent heavily under Todd Boehly.
Chelsea have spent nearly £600m in the last two transfer windows, but the Blues are still only 9th in the Premier League, 10 points behind the Champions League group.
The likes of Raheem Sterling, Wesley Fofana, Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer, while Chelsea completed January deals for Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk.
Fowler described Chelsea's spending as "crazy" and said some players already at Stamford Bridge must fear for their future at the club.
"Obviously you don't pay £120m to put a player on the bench, so Enzo Fernandez started; Mykhailo Mudryk looked fine within half an hour at Liverpool, and Joao Felix could make the difference," Fowler said. told the Daily Mirror. “I just don't understand why they spent all that money. Look at Guardiola and Klopp, they like to operate with relatively small teams, keeping their teams tight and together.
"Guardiola is even ready to let Cancelo go and cut his squad even further for the sake of harmony at Man City... but there can't be harmony at Chelsea as the players wonder what's going on. what's going on."
“I did a quick count of their squad, and what, 30 weird players, not including some of their good kids? It too much. “What happens to players like Carney Chukwuemeka, who were only signed - for big money - in the summer but now have no clear path to the first team?
'What's going on with Mason Mount, Havertz and Pulisic? It's just crazy to me. That's not good football management, like someone having fun with the league director.
Former Liverpool and England striker Fowler also believes Chelsea manager Graham Potter is "not satisfied" with Todd Boehly's transfer strategy.
“You look at the Chelsea team, and their urgent need in the January transfer window is a central striker,” he added. “Of the eight signings, however, none fit that standard as a proven top goalscorer. Three were future kids at David Fofana, Morgan and Maduke, Felix played anywhere but nine, and the rest were in other positions.
“So more than £320m has been spent and a real area of ??need for Potter remains unresolved. It would be almost comical, if it weren't so bad for the manager. You know very well, if he had any influence, he would have asked for the number 9. 'I don't know what's going on behind the scenes there, but I bet Potter wasn't happy at all. It seems strange for bosses to come and sign a bunch of players, any decent player on the market, and say 'here you deal with everything'.
Chelsea's disappointing form continued on Friday night as the Blues were held to a goalless draw at home by Fulham. Potter's team will return next weekend against West Ham.
