Four minutes later, attacker Steven Mukwala of Cameroon doubled the advantage for his team.
The Accra Lions did not have the players to mount a comeback in the second half, despite the fact that the two goals at halftime would divide the two sides.

According to the vice president of Hatayspor, Christian Atsu is still buried under debris.
Following social media rumors indicating that Ghanaian winger Christian Atsu had been discovered alive, Hatayspor Vice President Mustapha zat claims that Atsu is still buried beneath the wreckage.
After a catastrophic earthquake struck Turkey and Syria on Monday morning, killing hundreds and injuring many more, the 31-year-old was stuck in the rubble.
In the wake of the earthquake, the Black Stars player and the sports director of Hatayspor are still among the confirmed missing.
Zat verified the same on Tuesday at around 2:00 am Turkey time.
He was cited by haberturk.com as saying, "Unfortunately, Christian Atsu and our sporting director Taner Savut are still under the debris."
"A Portuguese source claims Christian Atsu exists, but we are unable to contact him. No one can be reached. We can't get to that spot. The worlds will be ours if we can get there. We are awaiting assistance.
It's the most difficult spot to get to. The region that requires aid the most at the moment is Hatay. In earthquake zones, everyone needs assistance, but the need in Hatay is particularly high.
